Jim Hatchett was respected by all the kids in the Oak Hills neighborhood. He was firm but kind, honest and forthright, and a great husband, father and neighbor. He never got mad at me for my shenanigans including tearing down the basketball goal on his house along with the roof trim while dunking a basket. I offered to fix it and he just smiled and said, "No Randy, I think you've done enough for one day". He will be missed very much by his family and many friends.

Jim Hatchett was my next door neighbor for many years. He was a model neighbor, always considerate and friendly. The best kind of neighbor you could hope for. We traded a few sea stories over the years and will be greatly missed. My heartfelt sympathy to his caring family.
