James Hoban Obituary
James Bernard "Jim" Hoban, 56, formerly of Belpre, OH, passed away suddenly Monday, April 30, 2012, at his home of Tallahassee, Fl. He was born in Clarksburg, WV, August 20, 1955, the son of the late Patrick Joseph and Marie Broderick Hoban.
Jim worked for Pitney-Bowes Incorporated for 34 years. While living in Belpre he proudly served as a volunteer firefighter for the Belpre Fire Department. He enjoyed travel, motorcycle riding and deep-sea fishing.
Left behind to cherish his memory forever are his wife, Alissa J. Holland Hoban, his son, James B.(Jamie) Hoban, II, Marietta, OH; his daughter, Jaclyn Hoban (Lee) Tolliver, Princeton, WV; a step-son, Austin Ford, Hockingport, OH,; a step-daughter Meghan Ford, Panama City Beach, FL,; three grandsons: Tyler Jacob Jones, Joshua Hoban, Shane Tolliver; two granddaughters: Hailey Hoban, Kelly Tolliver; and two step-grandsons: Roger and Jerry Tolliver.
Also surviving are his brothers: Patrick J. Hoban, II, Morgantown, WV, and Dennis B. Hoban, Round Rock, TX; his sisters, Peggy Hoban, Toms River, NJ and Ellen (Mike) Lemley, Clarksburg, WV; his uncle, Richard Hoban, WV, eight nephews; two nieces; one great niece; one great nephew; a host of cousins; special friends Austin Taylor, FL, and Eric Sinnett, Belpre, OH; and his little buddy, Tucker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Peter Hoban, an infant sister, Mary Ann Hoban, and a nephew, Brian Hoban.
Jim was a wonderful son, husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Saturday, May 26, at the Belpre Fire Department Training Center, Belpre Ohio, from 1:00 to 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers charitable contributions can be made to your local Humane Society.
Culley's Meadowwood Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation arrangements.

Alissa, I am so sorry to of Jim's passing. He was a wonderful PB service rep that hopped, skipped and jumped for me all at the same time

I only knew Jim from the training we did since feb for the dispatch job we were both doing. We talked several times and were alwase texting back and forth during the day. I think we got along well cause we have the same sense of humor. I think of him often and miss our conversations. I am so sorry for your loss. I miss him too.
