Not sure what to say?

At a time when I felt very alone and didn´t understand my Catholic faith, Monsignor Jamail offered to meet with me once a week. This lasted about 6 months. In that time he listened to every thing on my mind. All the while he guided me closer and closer to Jesus. We ended with my first confession in 15 years. I was a new man, strengthened in my faith and love for Jesus. At the time, these meetings seemed so random. But looking back now, I realize that God answered my prayers for help through...

God bless monsigniour jamail.

17 years later, I found this page. I loved Monsgr Jamail and often went to vespers service after work with him. The kindness radiated from him always. I was very troubled but those weekday services with him helped me press on. Life took us out to katy area and then my husband left me but I still cherish the time I had with mnsgr even though I wasn't even catholic, just going to church with my husband. Even after all these years I cried reading all these beautiful remembrances. Jim and...

I have already written an entry in the book last year, but I wanted to add this as well: I have composed a piece of choir music with Monsignor Jamail in mind. Part of it I composed for him right before he died, and part of it just lately. Here are the words:
May none of God's wonderful works keep silence, night or morning. Bright stars, high mountains, the depths of the seas, and the rushing rivers: may they all break into song, and the angels in heaven reply: Alleluia, Alleluia,...

Monsignor Jamail was an angel in my family's life. Every hard time in our lives, Monsignor was there for us. I don't know what we would have done without him helping out our family. He is truly missed to this day, even more than a year after his passing. I think that God just wanted another angel to keep him company in heaven. God is so lucky and I feel honored that I got to know such an incredible man. Knowing that he is looking out for us all gives me strength every day. We love you and...

I am sorry that I never got to hear mass from Monsignor Jamail during my year stay in Houston due to his illness. I will always wish that I had the honor to have met him.
my sincere wishes to his family,

Msgr. Jamail was truly a father to his SVDP parishoners. Though I have been away from Houston for over 10 years, St. Vincents still feels like my home due to his warmth.

Monsignor Jamail was an inspiration to my family. He was a warm and giving person. My mom enjoyed working with him at the church and will miss him greatly. Although I have not lived in Houston for 10 years, I enjoy attending mass at St. Vincent's when I am home. I will miss Monsignor's smile and warm greetings. He will not be forgotten.
