Sue, so sorry to hear about Jim's passing. Jim and I started in the Secret Service in the Washington Field Office. We shared the love of sports which created a bond. Thinking of Jim brings a smile to my face. He was a great, sincere and funny man. Although it's been years, I will always consider him a friend.

It was a great honor to have worked church and community projects with Jim. For the brief 3 years that I knew Jim through the Southport Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus I never saw him without a positive, can do attitude. Our hearts go out to his entire family both in NOrth Carolina and Vrginia.

I hope that I may be able to live by Uncle Jim's example and lead a life worthy of praise. He taught me what unconditional love and support truly looks like and I can say that Uncle Jim supported me in everything I did, even if he didn't always agree with it. He made sure I always knew how much he loved me. I will do my very best to honor him in all that I do each and every day and strive to live by his example. I know that he is keeping my Dad company. Until we meet again. Always in my heart.

Jim was an amazing person who will be missed by everyone who knew him.
I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Susie, I remember when Jim came to me to thank me for being so good to you when we were all in NYC together. That's the way he was; you and family were first. Then another time, he called me to see if I could help a woman in distress over work-related legal problems. I had not seen him for a while, but I will always remember this wonderful man. My sincerest condolences and my love to you, Susie. Janine

Such an amazing uncle to me and family man and friend who truly lived out the Jesuit ideal of a Man For Others. His sudden passing is such a sad event but I am at least proud to be here to celebrate his life with his family and friends, especially Suzie, Matt, Katie, and Maggie.

I was blessed to have known Jim for over 5 years as I dated his son Matt. I got to know him as a genuinely nice and humorous family man who always put his faith and family first. He made me feel welcomed at all the family events and went the extra mile to ask questions about what's going on in my life. I'm happy he was able to be the best man at our wedding this September, and although it was too brief, very honored to call him my father-in-law. I'm grateful that my husband Matt has many of his wonderful character traits and know his legacy will live on with Matt, Katie, Maggie, Sue and the rest of our family. We'll miss him dearly, but I know a part of him will always be present at every family event :).

Mr.Kiely was one of the nicest people I ever met. He accepted me from the moment I met him and always made me feel like part of the family. I'm going to miss talking baseball and his annual Kentucky Derby pool, which I still haven't won. He was a role model and truly a great person.

Jim was a wonderful friend. He coached both of my sons in their youth basketball and baseball teams. I saw with clarity over the past 25 years what a wonderful father he was to his kids, as well as a husband to Sue. I will dearly miss Jim, his friendship, and his humor. May God bless Sue, Matt, Katie and Maggie.
