James Lawrence Obituary

James Gordon Lawrence, 58, passed away on April 5, 2021 in Stoneville, NC. James was a native of Hampton, VA but had been living in Stoneville, NC for the past five years. He was well known for working as a car salesman for many years before going into the construction business. James loved fishing, gardening, cooking, and woodworking. He is preceded in death by his parents, James C. and Retta Lawrence. James is survived by his loving fiancee of 10 years, Stefani Colby; sister, Ronda Williams (Anthony); brother, Garrick Silvers (Raven); and many other family and friends who will miss him dearly. The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton, Va 23666. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3 p.m. with entombment at Parklawn Memorial Park. Friends are encouraged to visit parklawn-woodfh.com to share memories and words of condolence with the family.
