He was one of the greatest conductors of all time, not only for opera but the symphony repertoire as well. He was also an accomplished pianist a well. His concert in 1988 where Jimmy played the piano accompanying Luciano was iconic never to be forgotten. His work with the met for 48 years will be unmatched forever. I hope he rests in peace. He brought joy to music lovers around the world for over 50 years. God bless him.
