Mr. James Lilley was a wonderful man. I knew him from working the track meets at P. C. H . S. A wonderful man friend mentor a family man and a well respected man . I could go on forever. I remember when I first started walking I was getting discouraged because I wasn't doing much and Jim said keep going each day do one more step. He was so encouraging to everyone rest well Mr. Lilley you will be missed but your memories will live on.

Prayers for his wife and family. Mr. Lilley you will forever be my favorite teacher. From Alcott Elementary to Jefferson Jr. High to Pontiac Central.. you were the best .A great teacher and Friend. Thank you for all the encouraging words you use to give me. May God comfort and keep this family.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Mr. Lilley was my 8th grade algebra teacher at Jefferson Jr. High. The previous year my teacher nearly killed my love of math but Mr. Lilley restored it and then some. He was a very nice, compassionate, and fun teacher. Even his students that didn't particularly like math learned to like it. I was shocked and heartbroken to hear of his passing. Dee, may the love you shared carry you through the days ahead. To all his family, friends, and former students my prayers and thoughts are with you....

This really broke my heart to hear...you was the best teacher at Pontiac Central High School! I really got to know you in gym class & when I worked in the bookstore with Mrs. Lyons❤ always so positive with a big huge smile on your face everyday! Your memories I will forever hold on too! Rest in peace Mr. Lilly I know your finding so many adventures up there
