Jim Lloyd was the big brother I never had. I only saw him during his family´s summer visits to Blakeslee´s family cottage on Lake Michigan, but they were good visits, full of cheer and good fun. He had a patient and attentive ear, enjoyed good humor and his counsel, when sought, was measured and spot on. To me, he was the standard by which a good man could be judged.
