Jim was a coach for my son's Little League team where I observed his positive influence on the players, and also his outgoing sideline demeanor with parents and families. Reading his obituary, I was impressed, but not surprised, by all he had accomplished in his life, one of empathy, sharing and caring.
I send Konnie and the family my heartfelt sympathy.

So sorry for your loss. I keep many fond memories of Jim ranging from interacting with him at UMass Medical, to appreciating his support of St Mary's Church, and of course always seeing him by your side supporting your political accomplishments. He was truly a gentleman.
