We are so saddened by the loss of "Poppy Jim." He was such a special man. He loved his family and friends so much and lived his life to the fullest. We are so thankful to have known him and loved him. May your precious memories of him and all the good times you shared sustain you at this most difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

In the short time that I knew him, Mr. Magarahan (Poppy Jim)was a sweet, kind man that, along with Mary, graciously opened his home to a group of his daughter-in-law's (Melinda) Mary Kay unit girls to stay while attending Charlotte conferences.We always laughed and made some great memories. My prayers and love to all of the Magarahans.

Godspeed Cuz! James taught me how to spell Magarahan ("it's easy to remember Yankee, every other letter is an "a"), and I taught him how to spell Yastrzemski. Both are Hall of Famers!!

When I learned that your father was living at Tega Cay, I reconnected with him about ten years ago. I was working for my company's Rock Hill station. The last time I spoke to him was in August.
