Not sure what to say?

It will be some 15 years since your passing Father Jim. And I see it´s been 5 years since the last tribute and still they come. Having just learned of your death I felt compelled to light a candle and write this tribute. I met you in Taegu Korea in 1972, I was stationed there and you were an auxiliary chaplain filling in at the AF base. I was engaged to my future Korean bride with just a few months left before having to return stateside as my hitch was up. You asked me during our marriage...

Everyday I look at the beautiful painting on our mantel with your "Never Give Up" message and smile and miss you. You made such a difference in so many lives and you still are. I hope you are there to greet me when i get to heaven and you give me a big hug. By the way - my personal favorite was the Easter service rendition of Easter Bonnet.

Hello Father Jim,
I'm absolutely sure you have internet access where you are, And I know you check your messages just like that old answering machine you had in your office. It's coming up on 10 years since you had to leave us. And my soul still hears your voice. You left with so many lessons taught and so many stories told, but at the same time not enough. One of my favorite things about our mass is when you would lead us in singing "America the Beautiful." One Sunday a few years back,...

Your not gone Jim,everyday since i was born you have been there for me. Mom brought me Home to your arms. You George and Bill were the best three oldest brothers a kid could have. Some of us struggled with those early dark days but you walked on Fire and shined a way out. You never doubted me when others did. Your sense of Family besides Art & Norma would be Every Person you met. You did Real Good Jim and I'll Never Give Up in seeing your Words (Video's) joined by your History & Charity's for...

Father Jim made you want to go to mass. I took my traditional catholic father in--law to a mass and will never forget his comment that it was like a revival. I know he liked it but had never heard a homily done with such passion. I miss Father Jim and " will never give up!"

Father Jim was a very special person. We didn't know Father Jim as well as many of his parishoners but he spoke to us as if he knew us forever. In the short time he taught at St. Louis High School in Honolulu he made a lasting impact on his students, especially my husband, Francis. He is with Francis now and they are probably "talking story" about their St. Louis days. We will hold Father Jim dear in our hearts. We will miss you Father Jim!

Do it now.If theres somone whose voice you need to hear.do it now if theres someone who needs to hear yours.I just now found out Father Jim had passed. So many times ive told my Mother"we need to see Father Mifsud" "He" is the Man who could get me to church. When He gave Mass his words could make you cry,angry,proud,humble...&laugh! But always sent you home feeling like the weight of the world had been lifted from your shoulders. My Mother & I will miss you terribly. I Thank You Dearest Father...

Fr. Jim,
Long after your departure you continue to be a source of inspiration. You were our family's priest. We will never forget you.

Father Jim started a great & special mass at 7PM on Sundays at Queen of Apostles of church.

This mass has been eliminated! Please call or email Father Mike (408) 253-7560 ([email protected]) and ask Fr. Jim to bring this 7PM mass back in honor of Fr. Jim. Thank You!
