Mike Nickles was the best boss I ever had; there is no doubt about that. Mike was a solid engineer and a wise businessman, and he was kind and fair to his clients, colleagues, and employees. Finally, he was a great family man, with a lovely wife and three outstanding sons. I and many of my fellow employees at ATEC enjoyed and giggled at the original words and phrases Mike often coined and used, but but I cannot remember anyone at ATEC ever having a bad thing to say about the man. My deepest sympathy on the loss of Mike. He gave me much opportunity when I worked for him, and to this day I find myself practicing some of the lessons he taught, and repeating the phrases he used.
