Dear Susan and family The UK Ryder Cup 11 team and their wives are so sad to hear about Jim. I have very fond memories of him as part of the US team for many years. I played golf with him many times - and always lost! Jim was a real gentleman and very good company. It was my honor to share the middle infield positions with Jim Parrott all 4 years at Woodberry. Jim always kept you alert with his strong throws at point blank range to second base. Our senior year ended with a 9 game win streak heading into our final game at archrival Episcopal, where our co-captain hit a line drive home run to left field that was stopped only by the woods surrounding Episcopal's ball field. Jim was a special member of the WFS class of '65.Fun to be around and such class act and a true gentleman. He shall be missed.

Ivy and I are so saddened about Jim's passing. He was a lifetime friend and a true gentleman. I will always treasure our times together at Woodberry. Jim, Si, Tommy, and I were the Four Horsemen (Notre Dame football backfield 1924) and I will lays treasure these memories. Ben
