Not sure what to say?

Dear Pypers, my first memory of Bishop Pyper was when he conducted my baptism interview when I was turning 8 yrs old. I remember walking into his bishop's office in Livermore as nervous as I can remember and walking out as calm as I can remember. He had that gentle way of helping people feel calm and peaceful. Of course, our friendship continued as we followed your path to Tracy. We loved all the Pyper kids. In truth, it was in part because of the examples of Scott, Mark and Greg that I...

I was saddened to hear of Bro. Pyper's passing -- I was unaware of his health struggles, but know he is relieved of those now. I recall the last time we met was while he was on their mission in Nauvoo as I brought some YM from Minot ND on a church history trip. It was so good to see my former seminary teacher (Sis. Pyper) and her stalwart husband. I've always admired his kind and gentle mannerisms -- and no one has a warmer smile and eyes. He is truly a man worthy of emulation as...

Dear Family,
We just found out about the passing of Jim. We can't express how sadly we feel. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Thirty Five years ago we moved to Livermore, California. Bishop Pyper welcomed us to the area. Our prayers are with the family at this time. We have many found memories of the time we spent with the Pypers. Mark and Greg were great babysitters for our children. All our love.

Our family is saddened to hear of the passing of our good friend, co-worker, former Bishop, and neighbor Jim Pyper. We are deeply indebted to the Pypers for their example of a strong united family and for having made it possible for us to raise our family away from the influence of city life. May you find strength and comfort in knowing he was greatly loved by all.

Dear Diane and family,

We were saddened to hear of Bishop Pyper's passing. He will always be known as Bishop to us as he was our first bishop when we moved to Tracy. He was a wonderful example to everyone. Diane, may you find comfort in cherished memories and the love of family around you.

Dear Diane and family, We send our sincere condolences to you and your family. We have enjoyed knowing your family in Tracy, CA. Our love, thoughts, and prayers are with you and your family. May God be with you and comfort you.

Dear Diane and Family:

Sharon and I were saddened to hear of Jim's passing. We know he is in a better place and without pain. What a wonderful and caring man who set an example for us all. It was my pleasure to serve with Jim and more importantly learn from his example and desire to serve the Lord. Jim loved the Lord and his family and it was evident in the conduct of his life as he quietly completed his assignments. We know the plan of salvation assures we will all see Jim again. We...
