Not sure what to say?

To Jimmy Quarto's family

I was introduced to Jimmy by Joe Campagna in early 2001 after it was announced that he was going to be Festa Italiana's Executive Director for 2001. After having the privilege to be a Festa Manager under his leadership, I was able to experience what a class act this man was. Although I am only 33 years old, I was heavily involved in Festa for 20 years, from 1986 to 2005. Through my many years of serving Festa and the Italian Community Center, I can tell...

Jimmy,
We did not know each other for very long but we connected and I considered you a true friend. When I talked you listened and you were always sincere. You made everyone feel special. You were concerned about others. Whether it was your trainer, your friends smoking too much and of course your family's well being. I will miss our "lunches" and especially at Olive Garden with our mutual love for Eggplant. You will be missed by many. I am fortunate to have known you, I am better for it...

Distance kept us from knowing Jim as well as we would have liked to…but from Pat’s stories and from the few times we did manage to get together I know he was a kind and loving man, father and grandfather. One of my special memories of Jim was when he came to New England in 1996 – my daughter was celebrating her 13th birthday and Jim volunteered to make a genuine Italian dinner for the party. He even went so far as having us take him to Boston’s North End so he could buy fresh ingredients...

Jim was a bright spot in our office; his wonderful smile, and ready-any-time quips, will be missed by all. Q; we'll miss you. And to all his family and loved ones; you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear family – I will always treasure the Holidays and events spent in Cecil at Suzanne’s house. The food, the wine, the songs, the games, and the hugs made me feel right at home and so very welcome as Suzanne’s ‘orphaned’ friend. Papa Jim, as the kids affectionately called him, was always so very devoted to all his family; especially his grandchildren. He set a great example of how to love. He had such a twinkle in his eye as he would stir up a family discussion and then turn and wink as...

Jim was a kind and interesting man and we enjoyed meeting with him and hearing about his book and his family. Our sympathy to his family and friends.

It was certainly an honor to know Jim and care for him while he was in the Medical ICU. I will remember him for his kind and gentle spirit. He was always quick to give a smile and a wink. It was wonderful getting to know your family; my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Jim,

Never got to know you. But from Pat an all that knew you, you will be sorely missed. Rest in peace.

Dana, Chris, and Sammy, Our sympathies from the Merwin Stoltz Company on your loss. I only got to meet Jim at Chris's 50th so didn't know him well. My wife had a rememberance of him though and thought very highly of him. Again, our condolences.
