Jim and Alberta welcomed me into their home when I arrived, hardly speaking any English and were family ever after. They extended their love to me and my family and were the most loving, generous people I've ever known. We will miss Jim, who was like a father and best friend! Jimmy and Alberta were good friends for many years. One year I thought his birthday was the same as mine so I made him a birthday cake and took it to the house. Boy was I embarrassed when I found out that I had the right day but the wrong month! We had a good laugh and he got two birthday's that year! I have a fond memory of Jimmy taking me with him to the recycling center. It was a beautiful sunny day. I was 5 yrs. old and I felt so special because he chose me to ride with him. He was a good man. I am so sorry for your loss.

I will forever have many memories of junky jim taking me to go fix carpet in the captain cook hotel!!! he used to always have a flashlight pen for me to play with. he taught me the connect the dot game, which I taught my children.
