Not sure what to say?

Jim, thank you for being there for our family when times were hard.. I still remember the times riding out to Fort Rich. in the 60's in the back of that old truck filled with carpet..And the time you and Dad came to my swearing in- into the Navy..God Bless You Jim,thank you for being there

In the late 1960's, when I was about nine years old, I trudged through deep snow in my neighborhood on a cold winter's eve, selling girlscout cookies door-to-door. Times were different then, but I was by myself, and after going to many doors was lucky for anyone to buy even one box. When I got to the pink house on Borealis Street close to my house, I remember the nicest man home with his daughter, and he invited me in to get warm. I stood at the entrance of his home feeling thankful for such...

Jim and Alberta welcomed me into their home when I arrived, hardly speaking any English and were family ever after. They extended their love to me and my family and were the most loving, generous people I've ever known. We will miss Jim, who was like a father and best friend! Our condolences to Stacey, Laney and all of the grandchildren. We love you guys.

Jimmy and Alberta were good friends for many years. One year I thought his birthday was the same as mine so I made him a birthday cake and took it to the house. Boy was I embarrassed when I found out that I had the right day but the wrong month! We had a good laugh and he got two birthday's that year! I am sorry for your loss, he will always live in our hearts. Trudy Kirkendall

I have a fond memory of Jimmy taking me with him to the recycling center. It was a beautiful sunny day. I was 5 yrs. old and I felt so special because he chose me to ride with him. He was a good man. I am so sorry for your loss.

To his loving family,
God took a wonderful and caring man from our lives. But don't cry for him because his eyes shine bright again and the smile on his face is bigger than ever. James is without pain, at peace and back with the love of his life to fill a new job.
James and Alberta, hand in hand, sit together now, inside the gates of Heaven and welcome all that enter.
On this earth James and Alberta made everyone they met a part of their family. We were one of the lucky (many)...

I will forever have many memories of junky jim taking me to go fix carpet in the captain cook hotel!!! he used to always have a flashlight pen for me to play with. he taught me the connect the dot game, which I taught my children. I will surely miss him! Stacey and laney please accept my condolences! Gerri Gaudio Scruggs
