I just got an e-mail saying your page would be gone after the thirteenth so I thought I'd once again tell you good-bye and I love you. Tell papa I love him too, please. I miss you J.R. J.R. Thought I'd say hi, I see it's been awhile since someone dropped ya a line so I decided to break the cycle. Gone but never Forgotten. I just found out yesterday and needless to say am shocked and saddened. JR was truly a good and fair man with whom it was always a pleasure to do business or just talk. I wish his family peace of mind and to have comfort in the thought that our loved ones live on forever in our memories. Please accept the condolences of me and my whole family who have interacted with JR through the years.

Out thoughts and prayers are with JR's family. We first met JR in 1990 and have had our cars serviced by him for the last fourteen years. Last March, we bought our most recent Volvo for our daughter, who was getting ready to go off to college in Ohio. JR told us that if our daughter had car trouble in Ohio, he would have the car towed to Louisville so they could work on it. I worked with him at Taffel Motors many years ago. Always had the utmost respect for him as a person and technician. He will be missed.

What a great man JR was! JR serviced my VOLVO at TAFEL and I followed him to his own shop. I sent a friend with a Mercedes to him before he was really servicing them. He saw her as a favor to me. She was having a hard time financially, was ill, and needed the heater to work and a stuck window to go up as it was winter and she had 5 children. She lived in Taylorsville and worked and saw doctors in Louisville. When we picked up her car, she immediately noticed that her tires had been changed....
