I met Jim in 2009- we were living a few doors down from each other at an apartment in Friendswood. I met him one day while he was letting his dog out. We struck up a friendship and I would visit him a few times a month.
I was amazed at Jim's life story. He told me about his first job working 70 hours per week as an elevator operator during the Great Depression. He went on to say how thankful he was to have job during that time.
