Not sure what to say?

Dear Family:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. We were deeply hurt to hear of the loss of Fr.Jim. We will always have fond memories of Sunday Breakfasts at Visitation Church in Buffalo, NY with him when he was there. God Bless you all.

Your gentle humble presence will be missed throughout our diocese, and especially by your Catholic Center family. Your sincere love for people and desire to never stop learning were inspirational to all of us. Thank you for gracing my life with your servant leadership!

My prayers are with Fr. Ruddick's family and all those who are experiencing his loss. He was there for me in my darkest hours and he was with me in my happiest when he officiated at my marriage to my best friend, Fred, on January 27, 2001. I will miss him.

My sorrow is so deep at this time - Father Ruddick has been my spiritual director and advisor for nine years. He is irreplaceable.
Throughout all of our visits I cannot recall one time I did not come away feeling like a better person - and with hope.
I will never forget his constant reminder - "no matter what, remember that God loves you..."
I express my thanks to God and to Father Jim for his friendship, counsel, advice.
Father, let's make a date to see each other again.
Judy K.

My sincere condolances to Fr. Jim's family. He always had time to talk with me in times of need. May his soul rest in the presence of our Lord and Father. Peace, Deacon Melvin Carroll

As a graduate student of Father Ruddick,He helped me by example to be a better teacher. My prayers are with you.

Father Ruddick's Family,

I had written a few times to Father Ruddick regarding his extensive work on my (our)family's geneology. I am a descendant of Joseph Sick and was thrilled to find all of Father Jim's research and very happy to converse about it with him. My cousin (from Buffalo) visited with him a couple months ago and found him a very gracious and wonderful man. I am sorry we never got to meet, but I will remember him and keep you in my prayers. A long distant cousin,

May God bless you all at this time and always. Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with you.

To all of us who will be missing this kind man: he'll continue to soothe our souls-death can't stop that.
Our heartfelt sympathy especially to his family and the religious community.
