James Denton "Scotty" Scott

In 1989, I was a young, brand new airman just stationed to Beale AFB at the PSD shop. My first day there, Chief Scott took me under his wing and personally presented me to all of the different sections in the shop-kind of like walking a gauntlet for a newbie. As Chief Scott introduced me to the various section heads and workers, he seemed proud of me like a father would be though we had only just met. A few weeks later, my wife´s friend came to Beale to visit. I wasn´t even fully trained...

I worked as Scotties Administrative Superintendent for 2 years, and experienced Scotty's amazing ability to juggle the complex PSD Mission. His favorite saying was, "The situation is fluid!" Rest well, Scotty. ie
