Not sure what to say?

Dear Lisa, We are so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was such a great human being and friend, a rare combination. His memory will always stay with me. Jim took the time through the years to stay in touch and shared news of our high school friends and your family. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. He was a blessing. I hope you and your children are well. My husband, Chris and I send you love.

My condolences to Mr Scroggins family. Today, my family and I were watching VH1 videos from where we were little. My mom Rosie/Rosalba Gonzalez worked at Homan Elementary and recorded a lot. Mr Scroggins was vice Principal and Mrs Casper was our Principal. I was in Mrs Pittons kindergarten class. My parents go to lady of victory and would see him. My mom got sick and hadn´t made it to church in a couple years. She asked about Mr Scroggins so I searched online and came across his obituary. Our...

I can remember Mr Scroggins when I was in his wife Mrs.Scoiggins 4th grade class back in 67-68 at Jane Addans Elementary School, where they both were employed,They were both an inspiration to me and my favorite teachers. I'm so sad and would like to send my deepest sympathy and condolences to Mrs. Scroggin and her family. I truly admired him,(both) and want to thank both for teaching me so much and preparing me to be the best ,to respect and be well mannered and responsible in my life and...

Goodbye my friend and mentor. I had the honor of knowing Jim and working beside him in the Knights of Columbus. When I joined our council 30+ years ago, Jim was there to mentor and guide me and always encouraged me to be involved and take part. My brother John and I thought the world of Jim and were very proud when he went on to State Deputy (twice) and later Vice Supreme Master. I will always remember his smile, his devotion to his faith and his family, his dedication to the Knights and...

I got the honor of working with Jim back at Homan Elementary when I was new teacher. My fondest memories were Marvin Howard and Jim as the dynamic duo making me laugh on a daily basis while getting their jobs done at the highest level. He was a mentor and friend. I know my mom and dad had a friendship with Jim outside of school. Many times my dad would play golf with Jim at Fig Garden enjoying their retirements. Also Jim and Lisa coming to my house after I gave birth to visit my daughter. He...

Leslie and I were honored to have served with and for Jim Scroggin with ONLY one (s) in his many positions in the 3rd Degree as well as his position as Vice Supreme Master. We were always remembered and appreciated. We enjoyed visiting with Jim and Lady Lisa as they traveled around the State while camping. Jim was a most respected person whom I never heard a negative word about. He will always be remembered by the examples he left us. Yes I did keep up with Jim as he did his daily mileage and...

I was just communicating with some of my old colleagues from when we all taught at Homan Elementary when Jim was our vice-principal. He was a very kind, "low-key" administrator we all appreciated, including the school's families. The photo here captures the "twinkle in his eye" that was always there! Sorry for your family's loss.

Please accept my condolences for your recent loss.
As a friend and classmate of his brother David, I will always remember James’ humor, wit and kind attitude to a neighborhood kid.

Awesome friend. Always looking out for others. Miss him like crazy.
