I knew Jim back in the 1980s and early 90s. He helped us with the first mining collectors' magazine. His collection of artifacts was vast and he loved to talk. Sad to see someone pass so early.

Jim was effectively my stepfather for about 12 years. I barely knew him at first, even though he and my mom, Jeanie, first met on the role-playing message board that I had introduced her to, the Napping Cat´s Dream. After we moved here to live with him, we started to become friends, though we both had our rough edges of course.
