Not sure what to say?

Yukie and I were shocked to hear of Jim's passing; I worked with Jim at IBM in Tokyo and again at San Jose and those were some of my best memories from my IBM career, Jim was one of the few people I thought of as a superb executive and a superb person. I remember once in Tokyo when my assignment was nearing an end Jim pulled some strings to get it extended and I remember him telling me that he wasn't doing it because I was such a great employee, but because I had just started seriously...

Oh I am sorry for you loss. Louise, I think about the kindness, generosity and the time I shared with yall when you lived in Austin. I was just working on a piece of furniture that has some Japanese characteristics. And thought of yall, wonder if I could find them and say hello. And find this sad message at the top of my search. My heart goes out to you and your family. - Hank Waddell

Dear Vanderslices. All. So sad to read of Jim's passing. A special man with a special family. Love to you all. Your old teacher. Donna sullivan

I was saddened to hear of Jim's passing. My prayers and thoughts are with you all during this time. May God give you comfort and compassion as you go through the next few days.

Dear Louise and family,
Joan and I grieve with you all and send heartfelt love and condolences. Jim and you became such
special friends in our senior years and his frequent
emails checking up on us will be truly missed. Really
distraught to miss the funeral but Joans current
health situation needs me 24/7.
Again love to all.

Sorry to hear about Jim, he was great to work with.

Our time in Boulder and IBM were perhaps the most enjoyable of all.

Jim

Louise and family, we are so sorry for the loss of Jim. He was the best boss I worked for and a great friend. I have not smoked a cigar for several years, so I will take a few puffs later today to Jim.
Best wishes to you all.
