Not sure what to say?

I am Mr. Vick's grandson and attended the funeral in Texas on Monday. The service was graveside on a beautiful day with crisp leaves, cool breeze, and gentle sunlight. I relayed the thoughts and kindness expressed in this guestbook to my father, James Jr.

Lanita,
I was sad to learn of Jim's death. I know how difficult it can be to suffer the loss of your husband, and it takes courage to go on. I have wonderful memories of our friendship and our time in Laurel

Lanita and family, Jim and I were so sorry to hear of your loss. We both have such fond memories of Jim and all of you from our Natchez and Laurel days. You are in our hearts and prayers. May God comfort you and give you peace.
With deepest sympathy,
Jim and Carolyn

Lanita: Jim was my boss both in Laurel and Duncan. I am fortunate to have worked for him. Sue and I have always appreciated the friendship of you and Jim.

Lanita,
JR and I send our prayers and thoughts with you and the family. JR thought so much of Jim....he was his first boss with Halliburton in Laurel in 1959.
May God comfort your hearts.
JR and Joyce Webb

Lanita,
Karen and I are saddened to learn of Jim's passing.
I worked for Jim in Miss. and in Canada. He was very instrumental in assisting my early career.
You and Jim were very special friends in Canada.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Bonnie and Karen Achord

To: Jim Vick Jr. and family
We were saddened to learn about the death of your father. He was a pleasure to be around especially on the golf course. I'll never forget how he finished his cigar by using his pipe.
