I worked at CSHL in the 80´s and remember many early morning conversations with Jim . He liked to walk the labs before everyone arrived for the day to survey what needed to be addressed either repaired or improved. It also afforded him the opportunity to personally interact with everyone. Many years later I ran into him at a conference and we picked up right off from where we left off.
