Dear Patty & family,
My sister just called and told me that my niece Stacy had seen on Facebook that Jim had pasted away. We are deeply saddened by his loss and will never forget his positive and "always happy" way of life. Just being around him would cheer anyone up. I am so happy to see that he had the opportunity to enjoy a grand daughter while he was here on earth. He always thought the world of Allison and Robby, so I can imagine how he was with Claire. I remember the Texas visit in November of 1995 where we took Jim water skiing on Lake Travis and he thought that was so much better than shoveling snow if he were back in Indiana. I remember he wanted some Texas boots to take home and he was so happy we took him shopping in a Texas boot store.
Hope you and your family are doing OK considering the circumstances. But I am sure Jim is doing well in heaven. Can you imagine how he acted when he ran into mom in heaven?
Take care and come and see us!

Patty & Family,

Jim was always such a pleasure to be around. He was very knowledgeable in so many areas. I will always remember when he showed me how to remove fish smell by mixing salt and soap togther. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Hope to see you all soon.

Patty and Family, I was so sad to hear about Jim's passing and Jordan and I send you our deepest sympathies and loving prayers. As you know we just met Jim, you and Ann in Siesta Key Feb 2013 and only spent a few days together but those memories are deep in our hearts. I laugh thinking of Jim doing a cannonball in the pool while playing with Jordie. I know you and Ann were not pleased but Jim had the biggest smile on his face. Jordie and I won't see another thumbs up sign without thinking of Jim. And Jordan has his Capt Curts hat which will be a tangible reminder. And when we are at Twin Palms pool again , Jim will be there too! You will miss him everyday but as I looked at your photo book, you also have such wonderful memories filled with love to think of and that I know will be a comfort. Jordie and I hope to see you and Ann in Siesta Key one of these winters.

Jim was one of my all time favorite people! I consider myself blessed to have had him as my dear friend. His kindness, humility and love for life was evident to all who knew him. I will always remember his friendly smile, and his ornery laugh when he was teasing someone. He will be missed so much but never forgotten.
Patty, you and your family have been such an example of strength and courage through Jim's illness. I pray you find peace knowing that Jim is now with Jesus and is smiling his smile down on you all. You are a special family!
