Not sure what to say?

William and family, Remembering your dad today. You and your family continue to be in my thoughts and my prayers. July 6, 2023

When I look back over my 64 years, more than 35 years as a practicing pharmacist, I cant think of anyone outside of my family who had a more positive, more indelible influence in my life than Dr. Wynn. He was more than a teacher, more than a mentor - he was my friend and confidant.

Dr Wynns door was always open, more importantly, his heart was too. During my pharmacy school years on many occasions I sought his counsel. His wisdom, insight and quiet compassion were like a steady...

Remembering my time at MUSC with Dr. Wynn. He has now passed 6 years ago and I still have fond memories of him. He was very approachable, friendly and had an open door policy. Always willing to listen to stressed out pharmacy students.

As Chairman of the Board of South University when we started the Pharm D program in Savannah, we were thrilled when Jim Wynn agreed to come with us and institute our Pharmacy degree. We could not have found a more qualified, experienced and wonderful individual for the task at hand. We will miss him.

Looking back over the 30+ years I have been a pharmacist, there was no one individual who had a more positive influence on me than Dr Wynn. His passion for the profession and for teaching, his kindness and caring for students, his giant heart will endure in many of the lives he touched, and most assuredly in mine.

As a member of the inaugural class of South University School of Pharmacy, I would like to express my most sincere sympathy to Dean Wynn's family and friends. He was a true visionary for the great profession of Pharmacy. He was a great teacher, great friend, and just one of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I will be forever thankful for his passion. Thank you, Dean Wynn! We will miss you!

As a fellow Dean at South University, please know how much I looked up to Jim as a colleague and a mentor. Like Jim, I was brought on board to found a new set of programs, and so I looked to Jim as a role model and an advisor. His advice and his thoughts were always on target and positive as I moved forward. It has been 3.5 years since I came on board and I cherish every moment I had with Jim. Please know my thoughts are with the family and our colleagues and students as we continue to move...

As a 1992 graduate of the MUSC-COP, I am deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Wynn's passing. He truly was my favorite professor of all my college career. Dr. Wynn was caring, loving, fun...and one of the sweetest men I've ever met! My prayers are with his family at this difficult time. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Joyce,

I just heard about Jim's passing yesterday (July 17) and I wept. Jim was a good man, and I know that he loved and admired you dearly. He would talk about you often during the days I worked with him at South. I know that you are a strong woman, having fought the battle of cancer yourself for so many years. But I also know that this is a very difficult and painful time in your life. You know that God is the source of all comfort, so I pray that God will comfort you. ...
