Jameson Gregg Obituary
Jameson Lewis "Jay" Gregg Jr., 38, of St. Simons Island, died Oct. 7, 2024, in the waters of Frederica River while pursuing his love of black water diving. Born Dec. 16, 1985 in Brunswick, he was a graduate of Glynn Academy High School and a lifelong resident of St. Simons Island.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Johnson Gregg; son, Jameson Gregg III; parents, Ann Jones Chandler (Mark) and Jameson Gregg (Maureen); sisters, Katharine Jones Gregg (Ben Roberds) and Anna Claire Lynch (Owen); as well as three nieces and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Jay was a devoted father to his son Jameson. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, exploring, golf ... and humor. He was very caring to his family, friends and animals.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 12 at Wesley Church at Frederica on St. Simons Island with a reception to follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia.

Condolences to the whole family. I haven't seen Jay since he was young, but if he was anything like his dad he was a great man. Praying for the whole family, for the peace that passes all understanding.
