The Heavens have a new star. On Friday, September 10, 2010 at dawn, Jan Francis Hasman made his transition. Never once did he complain during his six-month battle with lung cancer. With his wife, Sara and several family members lovingly at his side, he peacefully drew his last breath. Jan was a...

IN January 2009 i began weekly piano lessons with Jan and continued through June. I treasure that hour when he came to the house, not only for what I learned from him, but getting to know him as a friend. I did not realize what was to happen a year later. Im a lucky man to have known Jan.

Dear Sara and family: I knew Jan since I was a child (I am Lynn's cousin "Mitzie" = actually Beverly). As a teenager he was such a dynamic musician and I have never forgotten him. He was always at the family Christmas parties with Joe and parents. I lost touch when I was in my 20's, but was happy to hear he had a great life. We will all see our family again, of that I am sure. Peace be with you. Beverly (Forbus) Stambaugh

We will never forget the night we became engaged and he dedicated "For Your Love I Would Do Anything" to us as we danced. He made our night special...a true...
