Not sure what to say?

Thank you for sharing the photo of your mom. She was my typing teacher at East Union. I was impressed by her strong confidence and ability as a teacher. Thank you for sharing the "rest of her story" with us. What an amazing woman you got to call mom. Blessings on you.

I laughed at the phrase in the obituary that Jane is survived by "adopted" family members; I was one of those. When Jane had a heart episode while she was teaching ROP at Manteca Adult School, she was placed in ICU and we were told she couldn't have any visitors except immediate family. I went to the hospital and said I was her daughter. Jane didn't miss a beat when the nurse announced that her daughter Norena had come to visit! To Janes Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Janes
passing. She is one of the most
remarkable people I've known. It
seems like she could do anyhing.
I remember the remodeling project
on Harding Way, and what a fine
job she did. Jane taught me to
make bread and all these years
later i still bake it. What a
beautiful tribute you have had
printed in the Record, My thoughts
are with all of you. I will
remember Jane as one of the most
gifted...

You are so lucky to be the family of such a role model. She was a teacher of mine of which I really respected. Although I didn't know all of the details of her personal life as a student at East Union Class of 1969, I now understand why she was such an approachable person. She experienced so much in her life and gave so much joy. God Bless You Mrs. Hobbs!!

Sirley-I wasn't aware of your mom's passing as we briefly talked at the recent gathering. My heartfelt sorrow joins yours in this and of Klaus. Cherish the grand times.

To the Hobbs family:
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. She was not only one of my favorite teachers in Junior High but also a friend as well. Her girls and I went to school together from first grade on until seniors in high school. She also helped out with my Girl Scout troop. We all loved camping in the Black Hills. Those are some great memories for us all. May God grant you peace during this time. She was a great person and loved life.
