Jane Powers

As if raising 5 boys wasn't enough, Mrs. Powers had room in her heart to nurture and love her sons' friends too. She always had kind words for the Byrne kids but we all knew Kevin was her favorite. I admired her as an encourager but not afraid to offer correction when needed. She was so proud of her family and it was a pleasure to watch how you all cared for her after your Dad passed away. I hope your children have lots of fond memories of their Nee. Praying for your comfort and peace.

Jane Powers, a grand lady in the finest sense of the term. It has been my privilege to serve as her Rector these past 4 or 5 years. Oh, if only I'd been so fortunate as to have had such an understanding "attendance secretary" at Stonington High School 50 yrs. ago! She rests, now, at peace, in the everlasting arms of her creator.

You mom truly was one of the great ladies to grace Niantic and the Town of East Lyme. She was known by everyone and loved by everyone. My condolences go out to you all.
