Dearborn, MI, Jane Frances Roberts passed away on November 6, 2021 at the age of 82 as a result of a long heroic battle with Alzheimer’s. Born on August 9, 1939 in Lima, Ohio to William and Pauline Stein, Jane will be greatly missed by her husband of 58 years, Steven, as well as four children, Paul (Karen), Frank (Dana), Joan (Donald) Saynor, and David (Kim). Jane was loved by thirteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Jane was devoted to her faith, her family and a large circle of friends. She was a gifted educator who served in the public school system and as a catechism teacher.


Funeral arrangements include visitation at Howe Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave, Dearborn from 3 to 7 pm on Wednesday, November 10, visitation from 10 to 11 am Thursday November 11, at St. Kateri Church, 16101 Rotunda Drive, Dearborn, followed by a celebratory mass at 11am.


The family has asked that in lieu flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Michigan Chapter, 25200 Telegraph Road, Suite 100 Southfield, Michigan, 48033 or to St Kateri Catholic Church.

The Roberts family moved across the street from my childhood home just at the time I reached babysitting age. Many nights were spent at their home looking after Paul, Frank, Joan and David. I didn't realize it then, but thru the years Jane became a role model for me. Her friendly disposition, her love of children, her devotion to family, her time working at Greenfield Village, were all things she did that became part of who I am today.
