There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her and miss her. Woody still wants to run up to her front door every time we walk by. He misses her and Maddie and Soc . And those salmon treats :). I love you Janie Bird ! Goat.

Oh Jane. You were a wonder. Meeting you with Maddie at the dog park with our dog, Linus and having you to our house for dinner and talking and talking and talking. Always fun and consequential conversations. I´m so terribly sad to learn that you are gone from this earthly plain. Your love for your children and grandchildren was front and center. My heart is broken for them and for me. You were loved. Deeply loved.

Oh, Jane. I just found out of the news of your passing. You were an angel to me when I needed one the most. You gave me such care. We laughed, we cried - such an incredible person! Tears flowing from my eyes in gratitude. And for me to only find out NOW of your tennis talents. Humble and gracious, your kind spirit. An extraordinary person. I will forever be inspired by your impact on the world, and how you cared for me when I needed it the most. Sending love to your family, and all who know...

Being a few years younger than Janie, I looked up to the older junior players and was especially impressed than the elegant style that she played with. She was gracious both on and off the court. My brother and I got to know her better when we played the Pacific Northwest Circuit in 1970 and she was watching Ron play his matches. She was very supportive so I can imagine who compassionate she would be as a therapist. My loss for not getting to know her better. All the best to her family. Best...

I met Janie on the beach, in Redondo Beach Ca. in 1965. I had a broken ankle and was spending laying on the beach and swimming in the ocean. Janie showed up one day and was doing the same as I. We struck up a conversation and started playing "checkers" on the beach. In our conversations, the subject of tennis came up and we agreed to play on Dr. Butt's home court when my ankle healed. It healed and we played, she beat me -- bad!! Down the road a bit I went to her Grandma's house, which...

What a shock and still young. So sorry Janie. I remember your kindness so long ago. My deepest condolences to your family. Roylee

All my love and sympathy to her beloved children and grandchildren. I knew jane when she worked at Cedars Sinai Medical Center during her graduate school years....not only was she a professional contributor with great skill, she was a beautiful human being: inside and out. She spoke about her children so lovingly and respectfully and was an inspiration to us all to be a good and kind human being. She also knew how to be a good friend. I miss her.

She was an amazing human being and touched my life in profound ways.
