April 14, 1929 - February 7, 2021
Jane Gaston Elmore Williams, of Hickory, died at Conover Nursing and Rehab Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, at 10 p.m.
She was a long-time resident of West Hickory, and member of West Hickory Baptist Church.
She was born in Rock Hill, S.C., April 14, 1929, to the late Doras Ephraim Elmore and Lois Hurley Elmore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Anderson Williams; two sisters, Grace Heavaner, and Amy Stone; and brother, Jack Elmore.
Jane is survived by brother, Doras Elmore; sister, Mary Polus; son, Steve Williams and wife, Martha; two grandchildren, Chris Williams and wife, Veronica, and Carrie Benge and husband, Jamie; four great-grandchildren, Maggie Benge, Logan Williams, Seth Williams, and Grace Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the caretakers at Conover Nursing and Rehab. They provided great care for Jane and wonderful friendships. She couldn't have been better taken care of.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 11, from 11 to 11:45 a.m., at Hickory Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m., at Hickory Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Frady officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
