Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home - Evendale/Blue Ash Obituary

Janet Lee (Anderson) Burns, age 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 3, 2022 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born June 27, 1934 in Harrison County, Kentucky to the late Clarence E. and Mary L. (nee Hutchinson) Anderson. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Claude C. Burns, in 1971; sister, Linda McNeil; and her cherished dog, Gracie.

Janet will be deeply missed by her surviving children, Laura (Richard) Huesman and Andy (Kennon) Burns; grandchildren, Michael (Rachel) Huesman, Camron (Lauren) Burns, and Drew (Monica) Burns; great grandchildren, Riley Huesman, Nathaniel Glover, and Ellis Huesman; sister, Ginger (David) Beatty; along with a host of extended family and dear friends.

Faith and family were Janet top priorities throughout her entire life. After losing her husband at such a young age, she maintained the family home and continued raising her family with amazing faith, strength and grace. Locally, she attended Goshen Christian Church and later Cincinnati Church of Christ where she joined the ‘Primetimers’ group. Janet lived her life in service to others. Many have been blessed by her giving heart and compassionate nature. She became a caregiver to aging loved ones and continued driving others to church and appointments well into her 80’s. Janet enjoyed coloring, movies with her grandchildren, crotchet, cooking, watching the birds, and spending time with her adored dogs. We are so thankful for such a wonderfully special mother, grandmother, sister, Mam-Maw, friend, and prayer warrior!

Visitation will be 10-11:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati, OH 45241. A funeral service will begin at 11:30 A.M. following the visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be at Kentontown Christian Church Cemetery in Harrison County, Kentucky later that day at 3:00 P.M. Online condolences may be shared at www.MRFH.com .

Not sure what to say?

so so sorry I missed this!! I used to help manage the volunteer office at Christ Hospital and loved visiting with Janet while she volunteered. So was so active for a long time... I've thought of her often!

Laura and family,
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by God and His peace, the love and support of family and friends and by your wonderful memories.
Ms. Janet’s bodily presence will be missed at PrimeTime, but she will be with us in spirit and forever be in our hearts. We thank God for the sharing of her life.

We are so sorry for your loss. We know your mother will be greatly missed by your families. Continued prayers for your family at this time

I really enjoyed the times we got to talk about the classic hymns. I'll miss that a lot. Our hearts and prayers are with all the family. May the God of all comfort abundantly provide for you at this time.

Janet, you will be so missed by all that knew you, that prayed with you, that broke bread with you at Prime Time picnics and meetings.

You were there when we needed your help getting Nancy to Church on Sundays that I had to work . Thank you for all you did !

I have thought of your mother over the years. I never knew where she was after she moved to Ohio. We had a lot of good times at Goshen. I know you will miss her.

Janet was a delightful person. I admired her dedication to her family and church. She was so dedicated to her family when her children were in school.
