ST. JOSEPH - Janet Haggerty, 89, St. Joseph, formerly of Hoopeston, died at 10:24 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 11, 2024) at Heritage Health Therapy & Senior Care, Hoopeston. Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston.

I was her teacher helper at Cooper Elementary School and was invited to her wedding, which was so impressive to me at my young age. She was such a wonderful person, and we have been in touch all these years. My heart is very heavy and sad, and I will miss her Christmas letters and emails.

Janet, You and Dolores were our favorite baby sitters when we were young. My parents ( your Aunt Ann and Frank Jacob´s ) were very fond of you too!!! R.I.P Janet was my first cousin.
