Bruce, my connection to Janet goes back to the Chute with my grandfather George Dane (Dean) who was a brother to Anne Dean Wolverton. Anne's daughter was Hattie Miller, Janet's grandmother. My grandfather was 25 years older than my grandmother and so when we visited Hattie in the Chute, I always found it difficult to understand why my mother Helen Dane Todd was Hattie's first cousin when Janet's father and my mother were in the same age bracket. Dear Bruce, Heidi, and Jeff, Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Janet and I had a great friendship and so many good laughs together.
