Not sure what to say?

Oh, how I loved Jan . . . she was a very dear friend. We had fun together and enjoyed each other's company. She was a hero in my eyes. She was so brave and sweet even though she was suffering through so much. She loved her family very deeply, and her family was a loving support for her. I repeat the words and feelings I wrote before. I can't believe it has been nearly 12 years. I still can't believe I am 87 years old and sadly, she is gone. 'Til we meet again, dear Jan. Dorene Sherman

I am honored to express my thoughts and feelings about our dear Jan. I didn’t know her for a really long time . . . but from the time we met, it seemed we had known each other forever and we became fast friends . . . she was like a sister. She loved so much of life . She was so proud of her family . . . especially you, Senior, who took such kind loving care of her; of you, Lee, as you...

Dear Lee and Family--
Although I hadn't seen Jan for quite a while, I fondly remember passing out literature with her at church festivals during past summers. Know that Bill's and my thoughts are with all of you at this sad time.

Dear Lee and Lee, Jr. -- My heart aches for all of your family. Jan was such a loving and inspiring woman, and it was always a joy to be with her. The weather prevented me from attending her funeral service, but please know that I was, and will remain, with you in spirit. I send love to you all. Joni
