Dear Hogan Family:

The loss of a child is one of the most devastating realities which face a family. Only Faith & time can heal those feelings of loss, emptiness and grief. The process can be so hard, but with the support of family, friends and consolation in the promises of God, you can go on. Missy, I have not seen you in many years, but I remember your smile, positive attitude, willingness to always get involved and generous spirit. I am sure that your son also had these traits, and now as he resides with those in Heaven, take comfort in the fact that those qualities and gifts which he received from you will be used in his Eternal Life to make the life for those here on Earth more enriched & meaningful. His memory will serve as a constant reminder to those who knew him that one day, when the Lord decides, all will reunite and all questions will be answered. The answers to the mysteries waiting for us on the other side are his knowledge and revelation now, and I hope that you and yours shall take comfort in the care and words of Jesus Christ. Missy, I remember your strong character and will, and you will get through this. Ours is a Gracious God, and even though our understanding of his ways may at times give us what we think is reason to doubt, remember that in our hearts and souls, God carries us and gives us no burden with which he does not help "shoulder the load." I'll remember you and yours in my prayers, especially in this Advent and Christmas Season. As the Lord was raised from the Dead, we must believe that he will do no less for us, his beloved children. Peace and Serenity to you all.

My dearest Missy and Ronny, We may never understand why things happen as they do, but God clearly has a plan and is in control of everything. My prayer is that He will surround you with His sweet spirit and that you may find comfort in the strength of His love. Jared's memory will last forever in your heart.
