I knew you only as a neighbor, but you always cared. You showed your love to all in the greatest of ways. You will be missed, but your legacy will never be forgotten

I was Jarod's commanding officer in Afghanistan. I came to know Jarod as a great soldier and mentor to his team members. He was tuff when he needed to be and had a huge heart all of the time. He served the Army, his country and his family and friends well. He deserves all of the accolades that he is sure to receive from his friends. I have thought of all of our team members many times since returning home, but I will always have a special place in my memories for you Jarod. RIP my friend.
