Not sure what to say?

To the Hickman Family - I was thinking about Jason this afternoon. What a wonderful family man, a great leader, a selfless servant. I remain inspired by his positive attitude and his sterling values. Best to you Tiffany, and those three young men now who certainly continue to cary Jason's values and sense of honor. I am a better person for having served with him.

I met Jason on a mission/patrol in Afghanistan that was like most I'm sure, full of certain risk. After being out all night and the following day we came to a wadi, and were in secure perimeter mode.

To the family of SFC Jason Hickman, I am sorry for your loss. Our family will always be grateful for Jason in service and ultimate sacrifice for his country and family. I hope his boys will someday be able to see this sight and how much he was cared about and appreciated.

My name is Major Matthew Uber. I was the nurse anesthetist who took care of Jason at FOB Salerno in 2010. I am a Christian and I prayed for Jason before he came to my trauma table. I prayed for him and his family after we knew he was already gone and there was nothing we could do. I will never forget him and how peaceful he looked at that moment. I continue to lift up his family in prayer. He affected all of us profoundly that day and his testimony continued even in death. May God...

To the family and friends of Sgt. 1st Class Jason Hickman:
Always remembering Jason. "Some gave all."

I was able to visit Jason's grave site today. I heard his name announced during the Memorial Day Ceremony and went to look him up in the directory. In 2010 I was at Dand Wa Patan, a few bases away from his, but within the same brigade operating area.

To the family and friends of Sgt. 1st Class Jason Hickman:
Please accept my remembrance of Jason on the anniversary of his passing and know that he will never be forgotten.
