I met Redwin back in '70 at Micanopy! Over the years we kept popping up in each others spaces and places. One interesting fellow,Redwin was!
My most fovorite memory was getting lost one late night driving in Peggi's field up here at the farm in Archer Beach (the Sand Hills). I was so sorry to hear of your lost. As we kids all grew up together at Hesperides, Jay was so often the center of attention. Where have the years gone? I remember well coming over to your house with Terry to watch Walt Disney on Sunday nights with Jay. As I grew older I often borrowed Emil's tuxedo for special occasions. It has been a little while since I have seen our peer family member from the Sand Hills of Archer, FL. Although unable to attend the service today, I will be there in spirit. May God bless you Jay - a wonderful friend and person. I will miss you, but am left with many fond memories. Rest in peace, with love, Laurie

Although I hadn't seen Jay in years, I thought of him often. I have wonderful memories of time spent together. My thoughts are with the family. Jay was a wonderful person and will be missed.

It has been a long time since I have seen Redwin, probably when his step mother, Ann Brodie passed away. Redwin and I sort of grew up together during his visits with Jay and Ann and his step-brothers, Allen and Phillip. I have fond memories of those times when our lives were simpler. I know that he is in a better place now and I will remember him fondly. God's Peace be with those that remain.

The last time I saw Jay was in the Atlanta airport many years ago. In the 70s I took an art class he taught through the Columbia Museum of Art.
