Not sure what to say?

Yes, Jay was great supervisor and more of being a dear friend and colleagues. May continue to rest and power and internal peace/

I am truly sorry for your family loss. As a St. Paul Public Schools Guidance Counselor, Mr. Jay Ettinger facilitated and helped me to discover my voice, which catapulted me into becoming an urban superintendent. For this, I am exceedingly grateful to him for my career advancements. Mr. Ettinger was always respectful, fair and kind to me. I loved his caring sense of humor. I have fond memories of him as our Director of Guidance and Counseling. “Jay” will be solely missed.

God Bless,...

Jay was one of the most caring educators I ever knew. He kept working longer just to help more kids. He also had a great sense of witty humor. RIP, buddy.

Dear Steven and family,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept our deepest sympathy.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends -Psalms 23:1-6. Phoenix, AZ

Jay was my mentor and friend, he made working in St.Paul rewarding.

I was a St.Paul School Counselor who was lucky to have worked with Jay. He was a caring, warm, and loving person. I'm sorry to hear of your family's loss and send my deepest sympathies to all.

Jay was a dear friend at the bridge table. He was brilliant, funny and always lit up the room. He told stories of growing up on Laurel with Irish families as neighbors. It was a privilege to know him.

I want Jeanne Ettinger to know she has my sympathy for her loss and the loss experience of this family. Jeanne is greeted as my friend and colleague. Milt was most valuable mentor and colleague.
