I met Jay in 1970 when we both used the same rehearsal studio down the street from Leo's Music in Oakland. We formed a blues trio and being 18 and 19 years old we set about working to become professional musicians. I will never forget Jay's humor caring. Smooth sailing my brother.

I am representing my brother Pat O'Brien who was a musician with Jay and send my condolences
Rest Easy Jay...

I knew Jay since 1976 when we both played together in Chicago. A great blues bassist and a helluva funny guy!!! We had big fun....RIP Jay Peterson.

Jay was such a great bassist and all-around good guy. He & Jackie are together again. See ya Jay!
