Jean and Bridget were neighbors and wonderful friends of our family for many years. Jean was a gentle man of great humor and kindness. And he was irrepressibly French, and could be counted on to do his best Inspector Clouseau imitation, to the delight of my kids. We’d drop in on them unannounced on trips to Houston, and were invariably welcomed, fed and entertained by his and Bridget’s gently-chiding banter.
