Jean Butler Obituary
Jean Elizabeth Butler, loving wife and mother of four passed away December 18, 2012. She was born on March 18, 1925 in Julesburg, Colorado to Philip and Laura Parker. Her initial calling was in nursing before she became a wife and mother. She was an active member of Crestview Baptist Church. Her passions in life were golf, playing cards such as bridge and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert K. Butler, her daughter Jean Keller Butler and her sister Peris VanWyk. She is survived by her 3 children, Robert K. Butler Jr. & wife Karla, Keith F. Butler & wife Marileide , Karen L. Mejia, her brother Philip M. Parker & wife Cindy, 9 grandchildren; Brett, Sara, Andy, Eric, Jackie, Michele, Jennifer, Summer, Brandi, Kindel and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 3 pm, Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with her husband of 59 years. My heartfelt condolences family and friends. I had the pleasure of knowing Ms Butler for the past 10 years when she visited her doctor. I'll remember her smile and spunk. She was one tough lady. May she be at peace in the arms of angels.
