Not sure what to say?

I am extremely saddened by the death of this dedicated, honest, passionate and very effective Florida Senator. She was an advocate for so many issues that it would be impossible to list them all, but as a tribute to her life, I will list some that affect the lives of many Floridians.

She was responsible for many laws relating to health: the Clean Indoor Air Act banning smoking in public places; patients Bill Of Rights; Good Samaritan Act which protects Doctors from liability when...

Having worked on her first reelection campaign in 1986, I can tell you that Jeanne was a passionate fighter, who never let grass grow under her feet. She loved the people of St Pete and they loved her. She brought a style and focused energy that is sometimes missing in Tallahassee today. I'm better for having known her.

We had many good times together. I will miss her greatly. My thoughts are with her family and all her friends.

It was with great surprise and sadness to learn of Jeanne Malchon's death as I was perusing the obits in this morning's paper. When I first moved to Florida over 20 years ago, she was working on a state "bottle bill" which sadly was never implemented. Those efforts had a huge influence on me then and now. She surely will be missed.

Jeanne was a great advocate for many diferent causes. Just one of her efforts led to passing legislation to assist runaway, homeless and troubled youth get help and support through safe shelters around the State of Florida. Counseling is also available to families in a relationship crisis with their teenage children. She was an incredible champion for many important issues of her time and was recognized through many awards for her achivements over her lifetime. She will be deeply missed by...

Thank you for your dedicated service to our beautiful state. I will think of you every time I can breath peacefully in public places. Rest in peace. You have truly earned it but being a great role model to young women.
