Not sure what to say?

I was so saddened to hear of Jeff's passing. Our family holds your family in our hearts with prayer. I only knew Jeff from the check-out at Luckys-Albertsons-Save Mart. Our son, Matt, and his girlfriend, Tessa, worked with him there. Though the years Jeff consistently had a positive attitude. He was always cheerful and shared his love, pride and graditude for his family. He is truly a bright light that will continue to shine in our memories and remain as an example of man at his best. I...

Every time I bought groceries, I tried to be in Mr. Adams line, just like so many others....he was warm and friendly and funny and knowledgeable. I know he was looking forward to retirement. My sincere sympathies go to his family.....such a loss of such a special life.

My eyes filled with tears when I saw Jeff's picture in the Journal and read of his passing. I can only imagine the giant hole that was left in the hearts of those who loved him. He was such an adoring husband and father. Anyone who ever went through his line at Albertson's could tell what a special guy he was. How he went out of his way to be kind and to spread a little joy during those few minutes that he had with each one of us. My husband and I recognized that he deserved recognition...

Jeff will be missed very much. He was a joy to know.

Jeff was the "Best of the Best". He brighten any visit to the grocery store - particularly if you were lucky enough to get in his line. I've seen a long line at his counter with other counters open just because he was such a delight to deal with - mainly, because he cared so much for his customers.

He always had wonderful stories about his family, and it was so obvious how much he loved them. Additionally, he always had a wonderful smile on his face.

He was dearly missed...

Jeff was my absolute favorite checker at Lucky / Albertsons / SaveMart (which he missed). What everyone else has said about him echos my thoughts -- and tears in my eyes.

Dear Jeff,

I shouldn't be surprised that God called you home so soon. Your passing is our loss and heaven's gain. Without question, you are the most dedicated family man I have ever known. It was my honor to check along side of you everyday at the store for so many years. Like everyone else, I will forever miss all the stories. I miss hearing about Tami's broken toes, Brittany's soccer and water polo games, Jeffrey Jr's grades, and your brothers' successful careers. I miss the...

I can't tell you how sorry and sad I am to read of Jeff's passing.Jeff and I went to Sac High School together and we became reacquainted when I first saw him at Lucky's-he remembered me first and we had a lot of laughs about the good ole days.He always spoke so fondly of his family and with great pride in all of his children's abilities. He will be greatly missed-I am glad that I was lucky to know him...Deb Kelley Auburn

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear about Jeff. I was another loyal customer who always stood in Jeff's line just to have him brighten my day, hear words of wisdom and about the full life Jeff had experienced. His family meant the world to him. He was so proud of his children's academic and atheletic achievements. He always had a twinkle in his eyes when he talked about his wonderful wife. He certainly left his positive mark in this world and I feel blessed to have known him. My...
