I worked with Jeff at General Ship in the Engineering Dept in the 80's. Jeff was a very skilled Shipfiiter and brought that expertise to the front end of the Ship Repair process. He was always willing to take time to share his knowlege of the trade. More than anything else Jeff was a great guy. He was just a sincere, no BS, salt of the earth guy. I left General Ship in 1989. Jeffrey was married to my sister, Rachel, and he was everything one could want in a brother-in-law. I can't count the number of times he picked me up at the airport or brought me back through blizzards, or the number of times he would make a run to the sub shop while I was visiting. He was a devoted and loving husband to Rachel, and a proud and deeply involved father to his boys. I was a friend of Jeff through high school. He was a year older than I, had a dog named Ricky, lived ,I think, on Pleasent Street and sold me his afternoon paper route. I have not seen him since high school but remember him as a good guy. I'm sure he was a good man and I'm sorry for your loss.
