To the Carpenter family -- my sincerest condolensces go out to you. Although I lost touch with Jeff over the past 20 years or so, spending only the briefest of time reminiscing with him at our class reunion, I have very fond memories of his friendship, from kindergarten, ALPS, and through high school. Sharing the majority of the same classes with him all those years, and enjoying great times outside of school has left an indelible mark on my childhood memories. Witty, intelligent,...

Jeff was the smartest, funniest person I have ever met. Beyond that, he was one of the few people in my life that I knew I could count on no matter what. His unexpected passing has saddened me beyond words. I pray you find comfort in knowing he will live on in the memories of the many, many people he touched during his journey. He truly was one of a kind, and I feel so very lucky to have known him.
